Paper, pursuing
value beyond itself

For over 30 years, Samwon Paper has been leading Korea's paper culture with a focus on environmentally friendly high-end specialty paper. We have built up extensive databases on paper and design trends, established close partnerships with leading international paper manufacturers, and developed an efficient nationwide distribution network.
As the first domestic paper distributor to achieve FSC CoC certification, we are at the forefront of supplying products with FSC international forest certification. Samwon Paper is a group of paper experts dedicated to supporting the journey of corporations, artists, designers, and printers who love and rely on paper from all angles.
With a commitment to imbuing paper with new value, we strive to unleash infinite possibilities and achieve the best results from a single sheet of paper.
SUSTAINABLE
In 2007, Samwon Paper became the first company in the domestic paper distribution industry to obtain FSC® Forest Stewardship Council's CoC certification. This achievement underscores Samwon Paper's adherence to rigorous standards for sustainable forest management. Furthermore, by supplying environmentally friendly products such as recycled paper and tree-free papers, we actively practice environmental protection and social responsibility. Through these efforts, we contribute to the "plastic-free" initiative and continuously strive towards a sustainable future.
DESIGN
Established in 2003, the Jiheon Scholarship Foundation (formerly known as the Samwon Scholarship Foundation) is dedicated to fostering outstanding talent in the field of design and visual communication in South Korea. The foundation has been consistently operational and contributes to enhancing knowledge and expertise in the design industry.
Moreover, we strive to create an environment where Korean designers can engage in creative activities. One of our initiatives includes operating 'The Paper Lab', the first paper-based multipurpose cultural space in the country. This space serves as a hub for generating diverse ideas and artworks inspired by paper, offering designers a fresh perspective for their creative endeavors.
CULTURE
We are striving to extend our cultural influence into adjacent artistic fields next to the paper and design industry. We support and sponsor various cultural events through collaborations with designers, companies, creators, and artists who choose Samwon Paper.
Furthermore, in 2004, we initiated "Samwon Paper Gallery" for paper-based visual design exhibitions. This has now been relaunched as "Samwon Gallery" and expanded into the contemporary art exhibition field. Through this initiative, we aim to explore and expand Korean art both domestically and internationally, focusing on diverse cultural exchanges to contribute to the development of Korean art and culture.
If you were to choose one sheet of paper right now?
For the best and finest designs and outcomes, Samwon Paper aims to confidently be the answer to the question, "If you were to choose one sheet of paper right now?" This is the mission and paper philosophy of Samwon Paper.
